Luke learning the NE way

Luke's first try at the NE he did good but lost the fish. After watching the video i think right before i say this could be your new PB pike it spit the hook.

After this happened we got the bait back and i reset the NE put the flag Down and stood up.
Flag goes off I looked down the hole and saw the stirring of weeds and sediment looked at the reel and was spooling out Luke said to me you take it i want to see that fish. It was a 36 incher after seeing the drag peeling out I wanted to see that fish too.But I shoulda gave it to him wish i did :-[

Ron,

That was awesome man, great to see the little guy out there, he did a great job.
Could see his excitement in the video, must have been awesome to watch in person. And don't sweat pulling it in, there will be plenty more. Im sure he was just as excited to see the fish.

Ron, nice video. Great fish.  I did the same thing (went to grab the line) on my first couple of NorEaster hook ups. After loosing one at the hole last week; the next fish I hand lined in at the end. It took a couple more hook ups to bring confidence back to the rod/reel.  

I can't wait to see him reel one up. I'm sure it will be soon.

Thats a nice fish. it seems as if Luke and I have a common enemy: the Northern Pike. The Pike doesn't like me either... sadly, never caught one... yet ;)
