Marcum recon 5 versus Aqua  Vu Revelation. Which one would you choose????

I've had the 5+ for a couple years & love it. It came in real handy when I accidentally had a rod slip down the hole. The compass came in handy in order to tell which direction to drill the retrieval holes. It's also quite easy to use. The cable reel would be a nice feature, but not that necessary to me.

I have the Aqua-Vu micro 5.0 revolution. It is very small. I love the reel on the back as it makes changing places very quick and hassle-free. the magnetic (no plug) charging cable means that it is very waterproof.

The fact is is small and light makes a big difference hauling stuff around.

They are both made by the same people so it really comes down to budget and personal preference. Honestly, in my research (I don’t own a camera yet), Aqua Vu seems to be the better overall value.

I was debating between the Recon 5+ and Micro Revolution Pro and decided to buy the Aqua Vu because the video format on the 5+ sucks. I'm in no rush, so waiting for a sale on the Revolution Pro.

Here is my set up. I use a Micro AV II 3-1/2 inch. Small screen is no problem and leaves room for all my other gear.
