Hey All.....

Been ice fishing for about three years now......upstate NY area...

What tips do the "elder statesmen" of Ice Shanty . Com for fishing
walleye....?

Best time of day ? depth off the bottom ?  Anyone use glass beads to attract
walleye ?  I'm looking for any/all information to add to what I've already learned.
Trying to get a bit of an edge so I don't get "shut-out"...

swedish pimple silver tipped with tail of dead minnow

pound the bottom then suspend at 1 foot

jig hard up +2 feet then settle back  ;Dto 1 foot

sip coffee

repeat

I'd use a live minnow with the pimple. The rattlespoons work even better as they make some noise when beating the bottom.  Chubby darters have worked well for me this year.
