Locating the Mega-School! (*Underwater view*)

Last ice trip of the season!  This was only 1.5 wks ago, but seems like longer.  Snow pile at the end of my driveway is down to a few scraps of snow....and most of the ponds near me are now ice free. That was fast!  Warm, wind + rain will do that!!

But on this trip, the ice was still solid. Hard part was locating a mega-school of fish. I never really got on the main school, but I got on the edges of them & put together a good trip. And I learned some new things with the underwater camera that I can put to use next season on the ice.

Yup, I try to drill as many holes as I can when I first get out and try not to have to drill anymore, just because of how you can spook fish especially in the shallows. But you can certainly learn from those mistakes and move on. Good outing.
