bowdoinham man missing.

a man ice skating on the cathance river in bowboinham fell trough ,and apparently never resurfaced  :(  the news said he was on ice 1" thick. tragic reminder that the ice is still thin in many places especially where there is current . my thoughts and prayers go out to the victims family.

here is an update from channel 13 news... MISSING MAN FOUND
State police divers have recovered the body of a 59-year-old artist and toymaker who fell through thin ice while skating on the Cathance River. Bryce Muir was last seen Wednesday afternoon near the River Bend smelt camps. His hat and gloves were found at the edge of a hole in the ice that he apparently fell through. Muir's body was found shortly before noon Thursday, not far from the spot where he disappeared. Muir was an avid skater who was familiar with the river. There was an estimated 4 to 6 inches of ice near the shore but the ice was much thinner in the area near the channel where he broke through.
