Hooper Pond, Greene

 Anyone ever fish hooper pond in Greene? i drove by to check the ice on monday and there was plenty of ice and some people had already fished it. i have fished it in the summer and caught some VERY large bass and i was wondering if anybody has had any luck there through the ice. A few of my friends and i will be there saturday morning if anyone is interested.

Hello all,

I fished Hooper a couple of times last winter. I was just jigging and caught a bunch of yellow perch on waxworm tipped Genz-bugs. I also caught two nice largemouths on vertical Rapala jigs. I have caught many during open water fishing season. Caught a huge northern pike there on a Rat-L-ATrap too.

I haven't ventured out onto Sabattus yet. The kids are skating on the lagoon on outer Sabattus St, but teh main lake just closed up about a week ago. THe coves may be OK. I'll head over and give you an update soon.
