I'm surprised to hear that thor94.  I always thought it was illegal to drop a sled there too and all the times I have fished there I have never seen anybody put one in at the launch ???

I could be wrong.  I know it was ok last year when the sherrif checked my stuff, he was right there when i unloaded.  But that sign i saw today has me questioning it now.

there are sled track headed up the creek  ;D only about 3" or so of ice and 1 set of tracks.  ;D
The whole lake is locked up too, except 1 small spot that the ducks are holding onto. But the creek should be ready for the NUT 1st icer's.  ;)  ;D

went out on fish creek this morning three and a half inches of ice
fished in about seventeen feet of water down the creek five tip-ups
and did some jigging fished from 9am to 11:30   ( NO FLAGS NO HITS NO FISH )
But it sure was relaxing and great to be out there.  I'll Try again tomorrow

yea so those were your tracks up into the creek. I stopped by to check things out this afternoon, not to fish, just checking. Things should start heating up in the next week or so.

Isn't it funny how snowmobilers are on the ice before us icefisherman ???  There were snowmobiles on a lake the other day that had only 3".  Crazy stuff but surprisingly nobody broke through with a machine.  :P
Feet and jetsled tracks is what I saw, Mr. Eddie was the one leaving his mark behind.  ;D

Sleds are totally legal.  I was unloading my sled at the launch last year and the sherrif checked my registration and insurance, both were ok, and went about his business.  That's the strange thing, sleds are fine, quads are not.

Why don't you guys just unload the quads directly onto the ice either by backing your trailers right down to the ice, or putting your ramps from your trucks right onto the ice and back them off that way...if the quads never touch the land it should be legal....it's the fact that it's illegal for quads to be on the land of a state operated boat launch the way I understand it...so just circumvent the problem by putting your quad directly on the ice......

Fished  on fish creek again today  4 1/2 inches of ice today Five tip-ups and
Jig two flags one seven inch perch only wandered out to the middle of the creek
cut around twenty holes did some jigging and couldn't beleive what i was catching
on the Hali. Fifteen perch no more than two inches long. They made my icecycle bait
look like whales? I walked out on the lake by fitch road went out on the black ice
a hundred feet out and cut a hole (theee+ inches of black ice) I felt it was safe
and thought about going out and fish some Gills but i was alone and did'nt want to
chance it. If we get the snow tomorrow the lake ice will be dangerous. But the
  Will be oK
