Headin out to look at one for my boy this morn. Are these as dependable as they say they are?

I've got an 89 Yamaha Phazer....both machines are very dependable.  One word of caution though....check the fuel line from the tank to the carburetors and the filter inside the tank if you can.  Mine is currently under going repair to said items but hey, its 25 years old and that's the only problem I've had.
