Any one run a ICE HOGGER ?

Seen a few in SD they seemed to work awesome no shoveling chips or scooping holes ...

Have used one for several years on my 8"jiffy propane unit.
Works great but needs to be adjusted once in a while;otherwise, it becomes loose and the chipper blades start to wear away the end of the shroud.
Keeps snow pants dry and is nice when drilling inside a hub because you can direct snow out a door hole.
The holes are nearly ice free after use since the chips are directed away from the hole.
Glad I did it!

I think for $60 for the 8" I have it would be worth it as an upgrade ....

I'm sure I won't be worried about buying an extension like I was last year in SD or have 36 " of Ice but still plenty of chips I wont have to manage.

I seen it in action when we were run and gun fishing looking for perch ...

We could roll up on a piece of structure and punch a grid and go right to dropping the Vex and Jigging ...

Im curious how you haul it as most auger mounts clamp the the center shaft?

Made my own rack with a sling to support the Hogger shroud at one end and the auger motor at the other. The shroud is a snug fit to the auger, so the auger doesn't wiggle much inside the shroud. Rack mounts on the front of my quad. I don't know if the Hogger fits into one of the holster-type auger holders.

I have seen the vids on them. What is it made of? To me it looks like a piece of plastic pipe with a top and hole on the side for the chips to come out of. It looks like a great idea if it works as shown at -20

Never heard of these until this thread.  That video was pretty neat.  Someone had a good idea here.

My back hurts just watching that video.
Fisherman's Prayer
I pray that I may live to fish
          Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
       I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
           And peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy I be Judged
              BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.
