The other thread was getting a little long so I thought I would start this one.

We will be gathering on Feb 28 at Gull Lake For the 2nd time. The lake is north west of Battle Creek. Although we are targeting smelt which start to bite at night we will be gathering during the day to meet and fishing and shanty hopping after dark. Mark your calander for this one. This is a meet and greet then fish. Alot of guys will be there early. I plan on being there around noon myself. Although it is a distance to were we fish there are many guys willing to take people out with there quads. Last year there were even a few cars out there. This should be a great fellopwship event.

Although I am unable to finance but a couple prizes I would appreciate it if others could purchase a jig, a cheep pole or anything really(ballcaps, anything....) and think of a way to give them away to any kids that show up.

Okay guy this topic is now unlocked.

We are closing in on our meeting and I know many are ancious.

I talked with Icegator tonight and we may have one to give away.

Jammin Jigs also said there on board. Even though they past there donation budget in December, they said they would be proud to give to IceShanty members.

I will keep you all up dated as Our 11 days count down.

The raffle is at 6pm at my shack. You can register there throughout the day. I will have the USA flag flyin over it. More will come as we get closer. Keep checking in.

I just got off the phone with the owner of Mamish and he said he will send some rods for the give away. I spent an hour on the phone with the specifics of how to use this rod. This is very impressive for him to give me his time and let me know how to use his system to capitalize on fish. Everyone will be passed on this information before the rod(s)(I don't know exactly what we're getting) are given away. The way these are fished is very impressive and you will all benefit from the information he gave me. And probably will purchase one after realizing why your mid winter bite is so slow when your seeing fish on the finder that won't bite. You'll understand more when you see it.

Icegator! Yes Icegator is donating a power head to our event. This is a "Seeker" with a 9ah battery and will turn a 6in bit.

where is it i think i seen someone on here said it is off plainwell exit and to the east but how will i find you guys on the lake cause i will not be able to be there till after 1 pm because i have to work

yup off plainwell exit to the east. Northside of lake at prairieville boat launch. We will have flags flying and there will be the only pink shanty out there.... Yes, that guy is fishin with us.

Bacic gill equipment only your allowed an unlimited amont of hooks We fish after dark with lights shining in the water to attract them. Bite starts around 9pm or so.

ok so it will be later what time should i get there? as the day gets closer mud get back to me to see if i am going and i will bring something for you to raffle off i seen you were asking people to bring stuff i haave no problem dropping a couple bucks to see someone wins something
