people are there own worst enemies ive seen a number areas tat let people on the ice from private property only to abuse it leave trash tear lawns up etc. and ten b***h wen it gets shut down sad thing is a few ruin it for the majority , but would never blame the owner for shutting it done or saying no. yrs back a friend of mine let 1 guy park in his drive go threw his yard a week later 3 cars in his driveway and several on the street and the guy was pissed when his and his buddies got the boot
Not going to argue about this. Yes it's a right to do what you choose with private property. That wasn't the point or statement I made. Thank you for pointing out about taxes. We have 874 acres. Also thanks for confirming the me world of living in fear that someone will sue and we should all be afraid. Yes, it is simple as resolving an issue with people who abuse a welcome. Like I said, I've resolved issues from people on our property that abused their welcome .Shame there's not more friendly people today that might want to experience meeting other good folks and rather stay locked inside. That kid today that wants to learn about sportsmanship might just be that person that will help you out when the tables are turned.
The problem isn't a lack of "friendly people" - the problem is the number of idiots and slobs that take advantage of the friendly people .....Most of the lakes have public access - it seems like what you are "complaining" about is not being able to access the water where you WANT to access it rather than where you CAN access it .....accessing a lake thru public access won't affect "that kid today that wants to learn about sportsmanship".
Friend got lucky and was pulled out of the lake on the south shore late yesterday. If his neighbor didn't go out to light the grill and hear him yelling it might have been a different story. Sun and warm temps eat ice with no snow cover.
This sun on that candeled ice is scary. It reminds me of this game.
The hoist has left the shoreline with the ice.
Structure 😉
Good work Freddie!!😎
Got out for part of the day and luckily fell on some hungry ones
