Sled mods

I'm tossing my hat in the jet sled ring this season,I will be doing some DIY mods,but want to keep it to a minimum.Any suggestions on rod holders,and gear storage,and perhaps seating,I will also be be hand pulling,thanks.

hy-fax kit is all i do to mine and a much longer rope and wax the bottom.

This is what I did to my jet sled. I put a smitty under it for ease of pulling.  I attached a couple of lightweight platforms so I could put the hub on top, but still be able to get at all the stuff underneath.  As far as rods go I just put them in a hard case.







Any day on the ice with little to no wind, is a darn good day.

Thank you.  I don't think I would change much if I build another one. Maybe aluminum plates to to mount the wheel for a weight savings.  The other thing where you could save weight is the smitty sled uprights.  I glued and stapled 1/4" ply to both sides so that the notch would not break out.  I mostly fish southern Colorado so I could of made the uprights not quite so tall.
Any day on the ice with little to no wind, is a darn good day.

. Try Craigslist, or a goodwill (or equivalent) store ,or put a ad in a free advertising paper ( Hy-Vee grocery store has one around here for a example)
