I wish that I could try a pair on since I tend to have a wider foot, but the next time that they appear on sale, I'll just buy a pair two sizes larger and be done with it.

Hi there straightShot!  I might be misunderstanding, but...that’s not how it works if I’m reading your message correctly.  When I post a boot deal in a particular size, its usually ONLY that size that is a deal.  The other sizes of that same boot model may be much, much higher.  That’s how Amazon works.  Price is set on particular products based on algorithms that include variables like supply, demand, inventory level, sales rank, and price competitiveness from 3rd party sellers among many others I’m sure.

In a nutshell, if I post a boot deal, it is for THAT specific boot in THAT specific size ONLY.  I hope this helps explain the situation for peeps not intimate with Amazon’s pricing practices.

last year, either BPS or Cabelas has the jet sled on sale for $29 and the jet sled jr  for $19. I got Dicks to price match and I got one of each
Thanks for the heads up! I hate interacting with dicks sporting goods but sometimes the deals are so good I got to

Deal Ninja,

Thanks.  I appreciate it, but already understood what you're saying.  What I meant by my post is that I have a wide foot.  I've found that I can never really get an 11W and what I've found that works better for me is to get a 12M.  The bend feels better, and with a wicking sock and wool socks, they fit better going up a size.  I did that with my Lacrosse AlphaBurlys and couldn't be happier.   Since I've heard that the Baffins run small, I was going to try to go up 2 sizes to fit my feet.  I'll wait for the specific deal at the great price in a 13M, when that comes around again!

Franks Great Outdoors has a preseason sale on Otters.  https://www.franksgreatoutdoors.com/blog/shanty-days-2018/

Not sure on the price, and you'd have to call them to find out (989-697-5341)  If you're in Michigan, you could drive to pick up your shanty in December.  For others, I don't know what they charge for shipping or if they'll drop-ship from the manufacturer.  I'll probably give them a call on Monday to see what the real deal is.

Guys - have an issue/question.  I snagged one of the great deals on a pair of Baffin CrossFire boots.  When the package arrived, they sent me a pair of loafers.  Has this ever happened to anyone, and do I have any recourse other than just sending them back.  Obviously, it was from a third party seller on Amazon.

It happens all the time unfortunately.  If the vendor still has the Crossfire boot in stock, they should do a return for replacement.  If not, you'll at least get a refund.

There is also a major amount of fraud going on unfortunately too.  Crooks/scam artists are buying very expensive items on Amazon and then returning the item for a refund.  The scam is that they're not returning the genuine item, they're returning a cheap/knock-off look alike.  They even carefully remove the tags and decals from the genuine item and place on the fake when they return.  I've been a victim of these scams twice in the last 3 months.  Both times with open water spinning rods.  I guess its happening a ton with reels too.  The scammers eventually get caught and lose their account, then they just open another and start again.

Thanks DN.  They state that they are now out of the boot.  They have yet to offer to cover the return shipping.

Hey Ninja, I was wondering how often flip over shelters go on "steal" level sales (Im sure its less and less often as season approaches). I started ice fishing last season and bought a used hub, but I think I would like to get a flip over for ease of use (ideally a 2 man) is there anything in particular I should be looking for? I'll keep checking CL and offerup in the meantime. Thanks!

that size 10 is a great ice reel for the $$$ at 50% off
Thanks! I have a couple Okuma fly reels and I’ve heard great things about the brand. The size 25 might be what I’m looking for in a lake trout reel this season. So to get any reel ready for the ice, just clean and change out the grease and oil with cold weather lube right?

.    The 20% off on a $100 is only good online if you were going to buy enough to get to the $100 mark.

idk link works for me....I was in the store the other day and saw the okumas on sale there too - baitcasters as well.

That size 10 okuma is the same size as a 20 pflueger or 500 shimano, size 25 okuma is similar to a 25-30 pflueger or 1000-1500 shimano

I am looking for a Fish 13 Black Betty Freefall LH retrieve.  Has anyone seen a good deal on these reg $100.  Or is there a newer model/version out from 13? My brother had this reel with the tickle stick. Was a really smooth setup for fishing small tungsten jigs for gills and crappies.  Expensive setup but was really nice his jigs never spun underwater where mine always had to be moving not to spin.

Ridgid has them. They connect to your phone:

"Over 15 different push notifications such as battery is fully charged, low battery and maintenance is needed
Security features such as locate your battery, lock your battery, and disable your battery when out of range
Battery status features such as estimated charge time and total hours used"

Not ice fishing, but before we can get on the ice, we need to kill some mallards.  Dicks has a pretty good buy on field mallard decoys right now.

Of course this deal starts right after I bought 2 9aH Milwaukee batteries and committed to Milwaukee...
Buy the Ridgid 9aH starter kit for $199.99 (https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18-Volt-9-0-Ah-Lithium-Ion-Battery-Starter-Kit-AC801/304740781), get the new 1300 in/pound Ridgid hammer drill free! (https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18-Volt-GEN5X-1-2-in-Brushless-Octane-Hammer-Drill-Tool-Only-R8611506B/304304102)

Oh well, no lifetime service agreement on the Milwaukee, but at least I've got 2 9aH batteries and the hammer drill for about $275 otd.
