I was wondering if anybody uses bucktail jigs or a maribu jig for crappie if so how does it work?

Yes, they get bites too.  Soft plastics gets way more though.

Swedish pimples in size 2 with a panfish worm hooked on and switch the treble hook to a single.
Fishing is a sport in which thinking is involved it is the covenant between nature and man, mother and son. Through fishing only can we recreate the link that has been tarnished throughout the existence of the modern era of mankind. Fishing is the answer yet people ignore it and consider it a "stupid" thing to do. What do these people do instead? They stare in front of color changing boxes. Is that life? My life is fishin

I've also done well with the Ratso this season; it also catches some nice perch. Another jig I am doing well with is an Insect Jig from Jamming Jigs. I rig a soft finesse type plastic on it Shrimpo style so it hangs out at an angle, despite being a vertical jig. Yesterday, I was switching back and forth with good results. When they started to bite well, I took down my deadstick and minnow. The plastics accounted for most of the bigger fish. Kept some but threw more back. No monsters but lots of 10-11+in.

I tried a Buckshot rattle spoon with a Hali chain and single hook. I started using the Gulp minnow heads and I haven't looked back !
