Coming up to fish missisquoi over the weekend and wondered how the pike bite has been? Also wondering how much snow/ water is on the ice. I will be pulling on from Campbell bay campground area

I had rain last night/this morning and expect temps to fall soon so there won't be any snow on the ice, just watch out for soggy drifts on the edges.

Ok that’s awesome thanks for the reply! Figured there would still be a bunch of snow from the storm we had last week.

Heading up for my annual trip this weekend, Last year covid stopped our trip the for the first time in years. Glad to be getting back out. How thick is the Ice on Missisquoi this year? I know we have a bunch of thaws and freezes going on and next week looks warm. Just curious what the ice is starting at.
Hope all are well and having a great season.
Its all fun and games until someone loses a walleye.......

I can't speak for the Missisquoi but I had a solid 14" north of the sand bar yesterday and I would think it's thicker north of there.
All the ice to want!

According to the VSP log there is a jeep with a trailer partially submerged in missisquoi bay  near the Canadian order . Was just reported late this afternoon.

The guy with the Jeep was by the mouth of the river from what I’m hearing. That whole bay had 22”+ as of yesterday. But the next few days won’t help it.

20" plus around campbells. Warm weather will smooth out the ice nicely before single digits Friday, sat and sun nights to freeze everything back. As for the jeep, its on shad island. Always open water out there.

Thinking about driving from Sandy Point up to Campbells area to fish out of the truck becuase its going to be so windy tomorrow.  Anybody seen trucks still taking that route in the past few days?

‼️‼️ URGENT ‼️‼️
‼️‼️ ANYONE FISHING MISSISQUOI BAY ‼️‼️
Please be advised - from Martindale Point across Martindale Reef and all the way to High Rocks there is an extremely dangerous crack in the ice that has heaved up and is impossible to cross. The ice is broken up for about 100 yards wide.

We drove the wheeler and truck out on tabors and there was only maybe 10" of fluffy stuff. Still a ton of ice.

Drove trucks and wheelers all over the place up there 2/22 - 2/27. 10" of fluffy snow no problem. Blasted right through it. Water is pretty murky on Missisquoi though. Bite was ok
Hard water Tight lines Flags up. Doesn't get any better than that

Fished for 4 hours this morning just off the access. Easy walking on, a couple wheelers went out but no trucks. Caught 4 short pike and 2 23” skinny that I put back. 5’ to 9’ of water.

Then went down to Tabor point early afternoon and caught a bunch of yellow perch. Mostly shorts but a couple slabs, ended up with 8 keepers.
