1 rainbow, 2 peamouth and a squaw fish.

Finally got out to do some fishing.  I hope to get out again in the next few days.
Lots of nibbles but only 4 fish up through the hole.  Squaw is eagle food and I will smoke the trout and peamouth and test if I like them.

Ate the peamouth, 1st time.  Good flavor but so many Y bones.  Worse than a pike.  Last time for minnow type fish.  the female had 10000 eggs in them.  They were only 12 inches long.  5 more squawfish today.  Eagle food.

good your getting out.. I have not been. recently it has snowed and now has rained a bit with above freezing temps around home so roads are all puddling in town on the pavement, I suspect the lakes will be slush and more slush..

What a happy new year.
 Hydro/power is out, 2nd time. Power was out yesterday from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Out again at 6:15 am. Generator to run sat dish and computers. Wood stove to keep us warm.
 Lakes are all flooding. 51 inches of snow so far this year. Can't even go fishing without wearing rubber boots. When you cut a hole the water comes gushing up sometimes 3 inches above the ice level. Heavy 600lb Sleds(mine) get stuck if they are close to the hole.
 The branches are snapping with the weight of the wet snow.
 Another day of snow plowing.

good to have wood stove for sure..
hopefully conditions get a lil more comfortable and big fish in the near future..
