fish more aggressively! when i fish with my normal group, we're out to have fun. but when i fish alone, i need to try new things. i do need a power auger, so i will be willing to move more. i need to learn to jig also. the trout lake i fish has better potential than i'm taking advantage of. i also would like to get a flasher, and learn how to use it. i will now take pictures of weedlines too. thanks JC! ;D

I am going to hit one spot I've found really hard for the first part of Dec.  I have only slightly fished this spot the past few seasons. I have hammered big pike and walleye at this spot consistently in Dec, and best of all, there is never anyone fishing remotely close to it.  Last year the closest shack was over a mile away  ;D.

I got an under water camera last year. Only used it a few times. If I started catching fish I didn't bother. I only used it when I got bored. I think I'll use it no matter what this year. Maybe there are other or bigger fish that I could target. And the grand kids love it. stay warm afishingfool

Better Terminal Gear.

New power auger.

Drill new holes sooner if the one I'm fishing isn't producing and move more often.  Just generally cover more water faster.

If I'm a good boy, which ain't too likely, perhaps Santa will bring me a Marcum Fish Finder.

I want to spend less time wondering where to go when the ice blanket covers the lakes.  Thus I have started really looking at things late summer and early fall hopeing to pattern the fish and look for good diverse weed beds and interesting structure.

Funny I should see this post today. This morning while trolling for Lakers + Bows I decided to really watch the bottom contour for good fishy structure. Today I found two one comes from 100' to 30' all nice round stone but not many fish the outher from 60' to 10' real fast  stone, vegetation and lot of real small perch. I sent the camera down and couldn't believe the smallys down there it was like an aquarium at Bass Pro. I marked both spots on the GPS I love Technology

I am going to get a smaller jigging pole when I fish for lakers. I use the same pole that I use in the boat and although it works great I like the idea of a smaller rod, to do the same thing. Hopefully be able to get out more the weather needs to help us out this year. Fish a few new lakes that I have from the boat that we have had good success on.

For the question.... I will let every one find me out on the Ice instead of waiting for them to show.   Lost a lot of time waiting on buddies this last year >:(
