Things will be hectic around my house for the next few days so I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone here a Safe and Happy Holidays !

( I asked Santa for some safe ice ! )

Let's not forget those who are less fortunate than us during this time of year. We're out in the cold because we're numbskulls, others are because they have to be. If you get a chance this year take a less fortunate kid ice fishing. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to you and your families!

muskiematt---geeeeeeez i feel like i'm following you around--i'm not----dont get down over last years fishing--if you would like any tips on what works for me, just ask and i'll be glad to share. dont worry about one line posts either--thats all some posts need--everyone starts out as a newbie

I might take you up on that. I think last year I wasn't able to put in as much time as I would of liked. I would rather spend a 15 days out fishing for monsters and catch 1 than waste my time with anything under 5#'s. That's why I use big hooks, bait and tackle. God forbid the one time I get a true trophy on I'm using a bass set up?

I would like to wish a Very Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year to all!! The big reminder for everyone is this; the slippery side is the top and the wet side is the bottom.

I'm going to enjoy the holidays with my family, and use the warm weather to get everything ready for the ice when it comes. Maybe even take the canoe out Sunday if it gets up around 50 like the weather-guy says. Gotta make the best of what ya got.
