I actually use a jig that is yellow on the top and orange twards the bottom of it. Seems to be my most productive jig so far, although it is the one I usually try first. Crappies, bluegill, and perch with it.

Crazy how people have different colors of jigs. We go to this one place ice fishing and anything blue the fish like. One time we went and proved that this is thew color they want after throwing everything at them, always came back to blue of any jig type colors work. Maybe it resembles something thats living on their home turf

I like orange as well, followed by chartreuse and gold. Of course like most fishermen I have every color ever made in my sled. ;D

Yellow, green, and orange...I usually do good for gills on "clown" or "frog" colored jigs.

chartreuse flutter bug is my go to for any panfish.  once it clears the ice everything and it's mother hits it.

chartreuse and orange glitter jigs worked great for me last year. Can't wait until this year. Nothing like some winter gills.

I like black/yellow/green.  However last year i got on a pond that was loaded with snails and lil brownish green bugs so i custom painted some marmooska's several variations of brown and they were HOT...match the hatch.  Granted when the bite was on...brighter colors shined but during the mid day slump those lil brown marmooska's with little atom micro nuggies out produced any other combo i could come up with.  also during the evening bite black until the sun set than glow red for the next 30 minutes....

I usually fish multicolor jigs, almost always with some orange. Since I usually jig slightly above the fish, the color on the bottom of the jig seems most important.

Even though I do mix it up trying different colors, some version of chartreuse or orange seem to consistently work the  best for me.  Cant wait for the ice!
