I thought of this idea. I'm sure it isn't new, but I thought I'd ask you guys what you think.
I build a rattle from a small, cylinderical glass vile. I but some small ball bearings in it. Then I put it on 3ft wood dowel with electrical ties. The idea is to use it when fishing with tip ups. I thought you could just go hole to hole every so often insert the rattle down the hole next to the tip up and shake it to encourage curiosity and bite.
