Beautiful fish! I was right there on Saturday. Slow day for sure. Glad to see the slowness was worth it! Had to be a fun fight.

Slow goes without saying. I fished almost 30 hours from Sunday morning to Tuesday afternoon. I went up to try to ice a salmon for the first time, which happened 3 hours into the first day, little 17" guy on a trap. Other than the big one I only caught 4 other lakers the entire time, between 15' and 20", 3 jigging and one on a salmon trap. The big one was definitely a lot of fun on the real light gear!

That's a real nice one too man. Is that a wacky rigged soft plastic or did it just tear off??

Yeah, pretty stoked about that one! Bummer man, hope the trip didn't get cut too short!

It did.  I accessed some really skinny ice on LG for about 20 mins, realized it was sagging and bailed.  Decided to skip mdb madness and drove home.

Any updates on the snow/slush situation on the lake?  I'll be on foot this weekend so I'm curious what I'll be in for.

I think a bunch of guys are planning to do that for the duration of the season.  Works for me.  Fishmarket proved tanks still exist there.

Well the only soreness I seen from eagle point today was our legs and back on the top of the hill.
Of the 50 or so traps I could see,  1 flag flew and 1 fish iced.
I drilled 3 holes and just jiged.  4 bites in total,  zero trout iced,  2 dink perch

Would anyone be willing to share some tips on how to target Lakers in Schroon? I've been up there twice this year and got skunked both times. For me, it's kind of a far drive to not catch fish. Thanks
