Edges are a mess right now. We only found one safe place to get on, at the launch behind Stewarts, to the left where the cement dock meets the water, just step down to the ice.

Most edges are 6' from shore.  Word to anyone who may get on.  You may find an increased gap in the ice to shore from the morning to afternoon.

How much ice is on the sheet?  Edges should lock back up quick with the cold.

Please , anyone,  don't throw picnic tables in to gain access.
Things will get better. Good thing come to those that wait and are respectful.

Yup, furthermore, who looks at a picnic table and says "oh yeah, let's just toss this in the water and use that"

That's the crap that's give ice fisherman a bad rep

Thanks in advance

I read on Facebook I think that someone put a leg through on Paradox within the last day or two. I also read South Bay opened up completely.

I think I'm skiing powder Sunday instead of fishing  ;D
Goin' where the wind don't blow so strange,

If schroon edges are in rough shape, it’s a good chance paradox is in the same condition because paradox flows into schroon and then schroon flows into paradox like a retaining pond... so usually water levels are identical.

Looks like home owners insurance just bought you a new roof... atleast were all in the same boat your not watching everyone else catch fish while you're stuck on the sideline- could always be worse!

I do work for a big roofing company. They always when you see huge clumps come off like that it was done too cold or the gun was too hot.

A little early to make that call.   Low temps coming up we just need some windless nights and she locks up.
