Good number seeing how slow its been the last week or 2. I'm up to 17 so far. I'm hoping to increase that number this weekend hopefully by alot  ;)

Only 30 to catch up.  Call me tonight to discuss the game plan.

I thought Shawn would have over 27 with all the ice time he's got.  I'm at 21.

Hey guys! What are we looking like for ice on the northern end? figured I would reach out before my 2 1/2 hour drive. Thank you

I'm content doing a lot of things including what I mentioned previously...If champlain froze in the right spots I'd never ice fish schroon or LG ever.

No problem.  I was out Monday and Tuesday and used the quad down to the narrows.

Guys were fishing off Eagle Point today, and gate is open.  South basin now looks frozen, but I couldn't see way out off Adirondack.

Any idea if you can pitch your shelter at the campgrounds overnight? The parks are closed during winter but it’s unclear whether people can still use them

DerekF_17...  I have researched this also.  This past year I was at Rogers Rock campground with the boat and got talking to the LGPC people at the boat wash.  The gentleman stated that when the Park is closed the rules of camping on state land take over.  The park is only closed to making reservations since you can still access the boat launch and the hiking trails.  The park will NOT have running water, bathrooms or showers. I have not found full clarification on this and will most likely end up contacting the local Forest Ranger or NYSDEC since I couldn't find anything on the website.

I also asked a forest ranger.  Since it is a designated park campground,  it is not the same as state forest land.
Gove it a try if you want but don't be suprised if you end up getting told to leave

I’d probably keep the shelter on the ice. But would want to leave the car there overnight. If possible. Thanks for the info guys

FYI sharing a post about George:

As of today there is skim ice:
-Village area to about Tea Island, some small open spots...main lake wide open north from there
-Basin Bay about 3/4, open NE corner to main lake
-Huddle frozen to the islands, no bubblers at town dock yet, ice looked better than the Village
-Sawmill frozen out just past Green Island

I camp in a air bnb or hotel when I am up that way. I've spent many sleepless nights in my shanty In a 0 degree bag.  That's  not for the faint of heart.

More gold:

27 and 30" respectively.

great calm cold weather all weekend
too bad i couldnt get a consistent bite going
i landed 11 lakers in two days from 13-21inches
all in 40-60 feet
all on the jig
once again tip ups were useless as i only had one flag in two days and lost the fish after a 10second fight
didnt feel like much either
oh well theres always next week to try and cash in on some schroon gold

season total at 43
good luck out there

Nice lakers Iowa.   I’ll be up the next 2 days chasing them.   Last week the best we got was 24”.

If someone finds a brand new spud bar on the ice I’d love to know. Somewhere between the island and boat ramp. I don’t want it back, it’s all yours! but I’d like to know if my friends are full of s*#% or not because I’m pretty sure one of them accidentally sent it down a hole and is trying to say we left it out there yesterday.
