It was checked this afternoon by a buddy of mine...its got a ton of growing to do down there.  I'll keep picking away at those upper 20" fish in the narrows.

That's cool but I'm done with fishing in a zoo for awhile . The public access points were insane this past weekend for an 18" keeper lake trout.

Perch tastes better and there is lots of good hardwater everywhere.

Good luck on the ice

I know I've been leaving the house at 1am to drove 3 hours to ensure a spot.  Granted my reward was 9" longer...

That's nuts,  I'm to old for that . I can be on schroon in an hr and now given the circus is in town,  not worth it.

We just go fishing, the quieter,  the better

Agree on the quieter better part I was trying to find the signup tent on Saturday 🤓 I was. A lone soul the south end had a bunch of cracks everywhere huge puddles of water that looked to be moving idk I wouldn’t risk it for a few weeks

I agree with the quieter the better as well but enjoyed that when we were planking on.

Tuna I love it.  I love it on 2"of ice with an empty lake, I love it with a packed lake, I love it in good weather and bad.

I like this idea of sticking to schroon when LG locks up.  I've been finding some sizable lakers...

Stockies versus native.
LG is by far a better fishery.
The time and place will come for both waters. I try not to follow crowds and move on.

I'm quite sure there is 2" ice somewhere,  lol,  but not that I'm walking on especially when I know where there is 10 plus a few miles away.

Be safe and have fun

Exactly what I would expect someone who hasn't fished Noneya to say!  Speaking of LG why are you not bass fishing it...lake's more open than Paris Hilton on any given Friday night....

Lowest of accords , you have been posting a lot of pics of short fish. You said you would never post a picture of a fish unless it was a 40 because 30s suck lol looks like you just talk a lot of smack. Ss could you refresh us with that 40 inch mount again!

I will wait until the season is almost
Over and all the numbers are in with no 39-40’s just to rub it in 🤣

Ooo I know I could... and I have had those trips planned but I either had to cancel them due to wind or colder temps. It’s a 15 mile run to my smallie stuff. Not really urging to do that yet.

I haven’t been out because... of.... family. Every weekend is something. I’ll find a way of LG freezes... or make a trip to paradox for a jumbo pike.

Lol yeah I hope I catch a nice one this year, I really want to see Rowan catch a laker. He had one at the hole but lost it. He’s still learning how to keep that line tight when the fish is at the hole so it can’t shake the hook before we get some hands on it.

Lakers are like snakes at the hole. Those darn things. I see how they can be tricky for sure with a child learning. He will get one...

A friend is one of the fire inspectors, old wire caught between 2 settling beams wore out the wire.  Just one of those things with a very old building.

Didn't mention this before and hope everyone has a good time. I'm passing on Lakers this weekend for other waters.

So here goes
Last weekend,  4 full 1 lbs propane tanks  were no more in the bed of my truck when I came off the ice.

No rantings or condolences needed just
Be aware,  azzholes are everywhere
