I'm going to find out after a couple hour ride this morning.
Good luck today Jon, let me know how it is.

Lake has gone down quite a bit last couple days.  If you fish off north boat launch simply walk out, no planks needed.

Lol people forget that the water will drop after the lake floods from heavy run off  ??? Even if it doesn’t drop all the way the shore line will freeze back up with the low temps.

Obviously the water is going to come down eventually.  We were just trying to help people with current conditions

Agreed and as am I.
Last Saturday you could get on at northern town launch without a problem.  I only puckered at 3" ice when I walked out and not another soul.
Access is not really a problem,  ice thickness is.
I'd appreciate anyone that's been out give a thickness  update.  I can figure the rest out.
Thanks

Varies.  Found a half inch today but it was pretty obvious that it would be that thin where I was.

I understand it will go back down, but it’s a 5-hour drive for me. Not willing to do that without assurances of getting safely on and off. Especially with today’s rain. I can wait a week or two to get up there

Just a fyi. I'm not surprised to see Lakers with teeth marks. A buddy of mine won the fishing tourney 1 year using a 20"dead salmon as bait in 8fow he landed an 18lbs laker

I wouldn't advertise that. Pretty sure trout and salmon can't be bait.
