Wouldn't say crush. You can get a dozen and lots of dinks. Slip bobber, minnows or ice jigs with small plastics. Kayaks, small boat is better, more mobile. Last year fishing was allowed off long wooden pier. Gate was open and trash cans provided. Get there early. Gets crowded. I believe the west wall will be fishable if no construction going on. The floating docks are posted "NO FISHING". The guy next to you can be catching while you get nothing. Northerns move in, perch move out. Move around. First open water is usually off end of pier. Take a landing net for pier. Good luck.
