First Time Out

We found 4 solid inches of ice and ended the day with 8 fish, 2 sunnies, 4 bass, 1 pickerel and 1 perch. Haven't been out on safe ice in November since I was a kid.

I also made it out for the first time friday, I didn't have any luck, but did have a herd of deer come and say hi to me...out on the lake. First time i've ever been on safe ice in ny in November. :-)

I'd suggest taking a look at Air BnB.  I'd guess there have to be seasonal houses that people want to rent out.  I found plenty of options when I was looking around Oak Orchard earlier in the fall.  They were reasonably priced as well.

But seriously, that sounds like a good start to the season.

I wish we had cold enough conditions here near the coast, but it will take a little longer to get good ice here.

In the meantime, I do have some potential spots up north I might be checking out soon....
