Too bad he is retiring from the trap making. I guess they are collector's items now.

I have one extra to use for back up, but wanted to purchase a couple more to have. I see myself going for some time before I can't handle the sport.

The majority of the indian hill parts are very similar to heritage laker parts.  I built my own tip ups and outside of the trip mechanism you can find all of the parts online.

Also do yourself a favor and get stainless wing nuts and bolts.

question, do their spring flags fit the Indian Hills? Mike promised to send me new springs as I got a batch from the bad springs but I guess that wont be happening now.

I'm not sure.  There's got to be someone you fish with that has heritage tip ups that you could compare.  Either that or go to Dicks or another sporting goods store and see if they will work.  From the looks of it I think they would do the trick

I wanted another set too, bummer.  I’d really like to know where he got his hardwear.  Can’t find anything like it.

That's a shame, He made the nicest traps on the market. I love the set I have.

Mike built the best traps out there. I have 20 of them. 15 ready for Champlain all the time. LOL. If he is done Hats off to him and thanks for the product he built. Maybe now he'll have more time to hit the ice.
Hard water Tight lines Flags up. Doesn't get any better than that

For those wondering, Mike posted this on Facebook earlier “To let you all know I will not be producing traps again for this season. These last three years have been very tough on our family and to top things off we lost my mother on November 19th. My wife and I have been taking care of her for the past 18 months. I know some of you need flag springs but unfortunately I’m completely out of them and don’t plan to order any until I go back into production again. The spring on a heritage laker can be used but needs to be shortened slightly and then simply insert the IH flag rod into the spring. Shoot me a message if you have any questions on how to do this.

Thanks for your understanding ,

Mike”
