Title: Antero for big trout?
Post by: snafu918 on Feb 06, 2018, 03:45 PM
I would love to get into some big trout (18"+) before the ice fishing season ends if it hasn't already. Is Antero my best option if I'm driving from COS?

Also any hot tips for getting into big trout without a flasher/depth finder would be appreciated.

I'm going to hit up Antero either Thursday or Friday and I have an extra flasher I would let you use for the day.

Snafu--Arkansas knows those South Park waters real well so if you're serious you should take him upon his offer. You're too junior to post personal messages but maybe you can figure out a way to connect with him. Snow on the Front Range this weekend but it may be okay in the high country. Good luck.

Thanks so much for the offer, unfortunately I have to work this week!

Antero is slow because of low oxygen.  I'd go to 11-mile instead.

How's the ice at 11 mile?

A new report should come out today, I think.
