Lots of new members to Ice Shanty so figure I bump this up. Also there are couple new lakes added, mainly high mountain lakes. For those of you familiar with this, not likely need to download the file. For those new to this please go to the 1st/Original post for detail. PM me if any questions.

TooLucky,

First of all, thanks for putting these maps together way back when.  I have used them extensively and really appreciate your effort.  As for the updated files, I have a quick question.  Do you happen to know if the contours for the Causeway Arm have been added?  If so, I will download the new ones.  If not, what I have already will do.  Thanks again and good luck this year.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth; and it was good.  A couple of days later God created the fish, animals and the birds, which was also good.  An indeterminate time later, the US Congress created the endangered species act, and things have never been the same since.

I just want to commend you on going above and beyond to help fellow fishermen with providing these links and maps.
Thank you very much:)

Although late in our ice season, "Bumping" this due to several recent request for the kml download. Also, I made all the kml files mobile device freely now. In do so, Region 4 bathymetries were smooth/generalize to reduce overall size. No major lake bathymetries were added by FWP in this dataset.

*Please refer to the 1st original post for detail. Enjoy and be safe on the ice!

I just downloaded this app, will it show your position on the lake as you move so you can figure out where you are and how far you are from your desired location?

Google Earth relies on cell service, but it should show you your location if you have service. I use it solely as  pre-scouting tool versus  navigational.

on my phone I just downloaded google earth the kmlz to earth app and the maps. when I try to open it I get cannot open download or cannot open file.
Was this because I did a direct download? do I need a dropbox account?
any help would be very much appreciated since I'm not to tech savvy.
Thanks

I  have a old gis file that is of north dakota from 57 to 62, i would like to overlay it onto google earth. Also that the gis amp on the website will let me zoom in close while other areas become a black and white checker board image. Here is the gis file thanks for the help

I have found this to be helpful over the years and I needed to get it on my new phone. Thought I would get it back to the top of the list.

Couple new lakes added by FWP since the last files. Mostly high mountains lakes and I believe Hegben Lake been added. I can post updated version if folks want it, but with Navionics and the likes not sure if people need it. Thanks for bringing this back up! Lol!
