Air travel with flasher?

Merry Christmas guys! Has anyone ever taken their flasher on an international flight to Canada lately? I would like to bring my battery along instead of having to buy one while I'm there. I called the TSA and they didn't have a for sure answer on a sealed lead acid battery. Lithium batteries have all sorts of rules associated with them but nothing specific on other larger type batteries. Thanks in advance.
