Honk, Honk! Nice! Keeper?
I was at Chatfield last night, the geese started honking and I said "it's time for the Walleyes to bite." As soon as I said it my Vex lit up and I got bit. I suck though, the line was not in the roller and my bail popped open on the hook set. Freakin rookie mistake!

I do stuff like that every once in awhile too, forgot my craftsman drill batteries at home this evening again and left the Milwaukee at home, luckily my led lights use the same battery or I would of been fishing out of old holes. It came in at a plump 19 on festive ice.

Didn’t see you out there. I didn’t get out there till 4 so I was in a hurry to find a spot to get set up on. Perhaps next week meet up and give it a go?

i hooked into an eater walter last night after 10 hours of trying on boyd, and then quickly broke the line because i suck.

Nice to see a few keepers pulled through the ice --- gives the rest of us poor slobs hope!

I might try again soon, too if the ice sticks around. Maybe Sunday or Monday night.

Ice was very solid and should last awhile. Assuming descent weather, I might be down for those days, Monday for sure.

It would be awesome to be out right now with a hut, heater and 12 pack, snow days are the best!
