Just hope everyone is careful on the ice and up and down the hill   No way to start the season with bad news.

I had a line in the water for a bit Monday, but it was just over a real shallow flat since the ice was thin, and I didn't get any bites.

Nice. With the weather that is predicted i am looking at monday or possibly christmas afternoon as my opportunity to get on the ice. I have got some small ponds i can hit or the resi if its in decent shape.

Work got canceled last night, so I got out on loomis by the boat ramp at about 12:30 a.m. Popped a few holes about 50 feet out or so, 2.5 inches of ice on every one. Only 4ft deep. Jigged around for 4 hours and only 1 mark. Line was getting so iced up I called it quits. Hope it gets another inch+ by sat morning!

That’s what I call dedication! I think the 2.5” of ice would’ve made me wait just a little longer.  :) It’s -9 here now and I’m pretty sure the pond is good to go but I’ll wait for this wind to die down. Be careful!
