Title: Brinker lake @George Wyth park
Post by: huntneiowa on Jan 10, 2017, 08:07 PM
Was thinking about heading to Brinker lake this weekend to check it out. Never been there so any information would be great, fish spieces in there and what's the most dominant species that are found in it?

Brinker has about everything that swims in it. They catch bluegills under and around the highway bridge and crappie out around the island. You probably have to do some sorting. rh

Lake is great right now. 12"+ in most places west of the island.  Open water north of the island.  I hear/see they opened up more of the lake on the quarry side.  heard reports of 5-8" ice that way and 75' deep..  lots of small bluegills in the cove.  Have seen perch, crappie, northern and gills being caught the past week.  cheers
