treble hook rule

is it correct that on trout and salmon lakes ie: winni,, you can only have a single point hook ??
No trebles or multiple hooks on a lure?
some of my jigs have 2 fixed hooks and one treble..
and i like using trebles
I've never understood this rule very well
anyone explain ??clarification??

If you put any kind of bait (artificial or live/dead) on your hook, it needs to be a single hook point. If not, then I belive the total number of hook points per line is 15.  Check on the 15 number though before you quote me on it!

Thats a rule for all lakes.You may not put ANY BAIT on a treble while ice fishing. Different lakes have special rules but that one is for all ice fishing.
