No to hijack a thread, But when you say Hali. are you talking about the heavy lures with the chain and hook? If I'm not mistakes Hali makes several types of lures... Thanks!!

Blue and white glow and as I mentioned replace the chain and hook with a short piece of mono and tie on a small 14 treble....you will get more hook ups.

It always has seemed to me that if they're hitting, any color works! When it's hot it's hot! I usually stick with a pink and silver though.

I will second that!

Yes they do have some that glow I personally like the Glow perch and the Pink and white glows work awesome too. But I am with Swampbuckster on this one. When they are biting I haven't found a color they won't bite.

Use a pair of scissors to clean them.

1:Cut their head off

2:Cut a slice from the "belly" area to the anal vent with the scissors

3:Run your finger down from front to back to "clear" out their guts.

4:Take an old toothbrush and scrape the black buildup away from the inside of the rib cage

5: Batter them (I like beer battering) and deep fry them. Eat the tails, scales, bones and all. They are so small they just "crunch" like a tater chip when you bite down on them! ;)

there has got to be a better way some kind of collapsing net thing put down an 8 inch hole that expands and collapses around the smelt pull back up.
