RealityCheck 1-19-09 Pics
« on: Jan 19, 2009, 07:23 PM »
Well I want to thank you all for the info. you gave me.  Everything worked out and another limit is being snacked on as I put this all together.  Hope you enjoy ;)

Picture of one of my fishing partner.....he is one of the best icefishermen I know.

This ice shanty cracks me up.....3.5' by about 2.5'.  4 ft tall.....and yes there was a guy fishing in there.  It was made outa a few garbage bags...and part of a tarp.  But it worked...and that is all it has to do.

And here is the limit....of gills and specs.

Bullet with a name on it.

yes...I did fish cheif noonday...but the fish were to easy to catch there.  So I went to "LAKE EASY" to catch these fish which were more finnicky, and a worthy challenge for myself. :laugh:

I just wore the knee high's out.  Slush and water found there way about 3" above the knee high's.  Yeah vex....maybe you should follow me out to Lake easy.......The gills taste great.....the company ain't bad either.  How did you like the shanty made ofduck tape a peice of tarp and some garbage bags???  That killed me.  Everyone was weary of me snappin' pics out there.....common it is just ice shanty...we don't bite...LOL

Just wish I coulda talked one ofthose guys into takin a pic of me...and the limit.  I was wet and cold though so messing around was not an option today.

No 10" gills probably only 8" at best.  I use Gander Mt. cheapies.  My friend uses St. Croix....I guess to each his own... ;)
No theses are original pics Vexy........I have Sat. open for Muskegon.....unless something unforseen comes up.
I guess that I need to post more pics of limits...everyone says something or spins a story off of the pics....instead of lurking. :D

Rod Reel= Gander Mt. combo

Line= ASSO 2# clear

Jig= Fiskas Tungsten glow in dark white with red eyes.  Tipped with 1 small home grown spike.

Spring bobber is a flat spring sanded down to sense if a gill farts down to 20'...the spring will flutter. :o

ya I knew you would say that......Trip to muskegon is up in the air...still.  Tried out Salami Lake today to.  Not as much slush...but I was the first one on there at 1:00 this afternoon.  Marked fish at the launch but no decent biters.  By Sat the sluch will have locked up and it will be easy walking.
