Sturgeon Bay White Fish

Going out of Sturgeon Bay next week for some white fish. Any recommendations? Guide says ice is pretty decent (just not too far out), how about the fishing?

You'll have a blast! Not sure how far out they are getting out but if you're in shallow (15-20 fow) you will probably be able to sight fish which is quite the experience. Great tasting fish too - will the guide be cleaning them for you?
Da Pack!

Nice, yeah I doubt anyone is past the shelf. We will be cleaning ourselves which is fine. No complaints cleaning fish!

When you clean them make sure you cut out the strip of pin bones (similar to a panfish just larger) and cut off the dark meat on the backside of the filet. It is a pain and takes awhile, but you're left with some of the best white meat around! I usually bleed them out on the ice as well, rip the gills and throw them in the snow head down.
