Big Cedar Lakers (Washington Cty)
« on: Sep 16, 2019, 09:02 PM »
Catching Lakers through the ice has always appealed to me. I've heard that Big Cedar has Lakers in it, but have also heard it referred to as the dead sea. Anyone fishing for Lakers on Big Cedar?

I've heard mixed reviews on Big Cedar also. I've looked at it as a destination for big pike. The water quality and size regs tend to support that. Can't speak as to the lakes population. I do know that Big Green has a really good population. No real giants like on Superior but plenty of lakers + some nice pike too.

LMK, could be a road trip for us  ;)2

You'd be better off playing the lottery than trying to productively find Lakers in Big Cedar.

Fishing Big Green, as mentioned, or Lake Geneva for inland Lakers.

The Pike population has been on the rebound since relatively recent regulation changes (40" limit) was implemented. The walleyes stocking efforts are also taking hold well out there.
