I agree it's been a long hot summer, but the walleye fishing was great. I have a few critters I have to kill yet before I'm ready for the hard deck. ;)

Oh yes we're ready but still working PV for the fish where all other fish are just bait...agreed long hot summer and we sure need a good cold lots of snow to put a dent on the low water conditions. Got one of my new ice fishing toys this past week.  Vexilar FL20 can't wait to ops check.  Now I need to look at upgrading the 7yo Strikemaster 2000 to the Strikemaster Honda.  Already planning hopefully two trips due north for some Perchzillas...had a blast last year fishing that body of water.  Hopefully can find some slabo Crappies also this year.   ;D ;D

Hey I thought I seen you up there today, would have come and said hi but I wasn't in my boat. FL-20 will treat you good. I'm going to invest in a flasher one of these days but until then the eagle will have to do

Hey Ya’ll,

Greetings from San Antonio, TX.  And boy is it ever HOT & HUMID down here.  It’s 90 plus on both.  We just finished competing in the World Skeet Championships yesterday and will be heading to Oklahoma City in a few hours.  I have a reunion there with folks that spent time at any of the Icelandic radar sites.  Then it’s on to St George for some more shooting competition in the Huntsman World Senior Games.

When we get back home, I’ll be hitting the local duck marshes for some quackers and honkers until sometime in January.  Then, and ONLY then, will I be ready for the hard deck.   ;D

But yah, I’m THINKING about ice fishing already.

Good luck with the skeet competition Bob, be sure to soak up as much of that heat as you can.
It's showing 19 degrees on my thermometer this morning, we'll be drilling holes in the blink of a eye.

I think it was late april or early may that I was ready for the hard deck again!!! I could go without soft water all year long.... why you would ask???? because there are no boats that can come 2 feet away and rock the boat while I fish and I also don't like the heat!!!!! cool temps please come faster!!!!
