Here it is!

After checking the Snotel sites all week, the anticipation finally got to me! I ran up the Mirror Lake highway to check it out. There was ice!

Tip-toe on..


First hole of the season!

Welcome to the shanty ton def. I've read a lot of your post on uwn and bft, I seen your post on bft this mornong, man that's some early ice  :thumbsup: I think I may have been at that same lake last nov and by the looks of it maybe sooner this year. Thanks for the heads up and congrats on the 1st hole I've seen drilled this year, If my memory serves me right I think you have had this honor quite a few years

Thanks for the welcoming! I have followed this site for years, and finally registered. I think too much about ICE to not get in where I fit in! ;D

Thanks! That's the beauty of Utah, having the elevation and temps for ice before Halloween to get the fix. Unfortunately it's just a tease until the lower waters freeze. At least this winter is looking goood! :clap:
