HD Brookie fishing
« on: Dec 02, 2012, 01:36 PM »
You guys asked for more Vids so here it is.   ;)   Hubby went out for the first time this year yesterday, and shot some HD footage.    Its a learning process, so the quality of the vids will only get better.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.   The low light of the water made the footage a bit grainy,  but its still good footage,   This video is best played back at full 1080p rez, and in full screen to appreciate its quality, so if you have a good internet connection, change the settings in YouTube to the better resolution.    Its a 9 minute video so grab a coffee and enjoy.    Hubby is looking forward to many more video productions.    take care all   :)

Yes the video recording underwater is a GoPro Hero 2 with the new dive housing.   He uses a Marcum 825SD to watch the footage live

Awesome video. Nothing like seeing how fish act underwater in HD.

Gr8 video.  Don't kid yourself, the underwater quality is superb!  Maybe that's just that clean, crisp BC water  ;D I'm from Vic originally, so no hard water for me until I moved to Manitoba.  Anyway, I just picked up the new dive housing for my GoPro2 and glad to see how great it looks underwater since I have yet to try it out.
Too bad that big brute would not commit.  :(

Keep posting the vids

Did you have the GoPro rigged with a video display so you could watch it in realtime?

No unfortunately you cant watch a gopro in real time live,   but i attached my gopro to my marcum 825SD facing the same direction, so i watched that live instead,    its almost the same thing

For what it's worth with the Gopro hero 3 it is wifi enabled so if you have an iOS machine (iPad or iPhone) and can watch real time....get a life proof case for the apple product to keep it dry! This video has inspired me to post some footage once I have it!  Great video !
