440 views and no replys..   ???   My buddy fished Sherman a couple weeks ago.  main lake was open, but west side coves had a foot of ice, and its only got colder. A few crappie and white bass.

I’ve heard the same thing. Guy caught 10 crappies at Sherman last week. Would like to take a day and scout a bit. Use to live there when I was a kid and remember the old timers pulling crappies out all day where there was structure.

My guess is that a lot of the people reading the question (like me) haven't fished Sherman or Davis Creek recently.

I guess if one looks at it from enough angles, though, you could conclude that since nobody's saying anything, the fishing must be on fire because we all know that once somebody says something, it's all over!

I don't know what everyone else with a full time job does in their free time, but I only have enough to fish lakes really close to where I live plus, usually, one long weekend where I'll travel somewhere (this past season, it was the Refuge/Merritt). So unless someone is asking about a lake I know, I just read the question and move along... like 440 others may have.

Was on at least 18 inches of ice today.  No fish for me.  Only marked a handful.  Bring on global warming ;D
