Wilson's 2/3/17 Super Bowl Sunday

Got out on Wilson's yesterday for a couple of hours. Got out around 8 AM and Picked up around 2 PM.
It was a really good day but it was WINDY. A bald eagle was flying around the pond.
Finished up with about 8 bass, A bunch of pickerel, and one catfish.

4 inches of ice in the middle of the Pond.

There were a couple of areas you  did NOT wanna walk across.  We fired up the grill right on the ice so it wasn't that scary.

Anybody have info on the derby that is supposed to take place there next weekend? Comeonnow mentioned it, but I seems surprising that it would be a go with the ice the way it is....

As far as the tournament...they are supposed to check the ice Thursday after the warm up tomorrow.  Supposed to go back into the 30's on Thursday.  They are also forecasting moderate snow for Thursday.
With the rain and the weight of the snow that may fall...I would not get my hopes up.

Tourney is scheduled for the 18th, but it's not looking good.  Will certainly keep you posted!
