Wetmore Area
« on: Jan 03, 2019, 05:49 PM »
Heading up on the 10th and  was just wondering how the local lakes are looking.  Hopefully less slush than normal with the minimal snow ?
Can’t wait to drill some holes !

No ice on the bay yet. Inland lakes have about a foot of ice. We got over a foot of snow yesterday and then rain and 38 degrees. Snow is very thick, wet and heavy.

Thanks for the reply Teggs  I really appreciate it.
We are leaving today at 4 AM and will be fishing the Pete’s  Lake area down to Corner lake area.   Any tips would be great.

Can’t wait to get on the ice.

My only tip is dont fish petes lake thru the ice. Super super slow for us anyway and didnt mark a fish all day. We fished doe lake this year and had a nice bluegill bite. But thats all i have tried that way so far this year. Good luck. Shoot me a PM and let me know how you did 👍🏼
