Cheap Ski's
« on: Nov 06, 2012, 08:41 PM »
OK, so I knocked my ice sled off the shelf hanging a ladder up over the summer and it's wiped out... kicking the re-build into high gear starting this weekend... anyone know where a good place to get a cheap pair of old (used) ski's is?

Someone at work mentioned 2nd Tracks Sports?

I figured Utah is probably dripping with cast away ski's and I'm really regretting (now) not combing the yard sales over the summer.

Discards at ski shops.
There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the ice looking like an idiot.

Bummer, I took off today to clean out my gutters and pick up all the leaves before the storm hits... if I would've checked in here this morning I could have called on a few of these.

Thank you! Maybe this weekend.

just to give some help on this.

i work in a ski shop.a good thing to do is find the local shop.ask if they have OLD OLD SKIS. the good thing about that  is a ski that is over 10-15 years old ( aka Strait skis) are no longer usable. the bindings are not certified and the shape is useless. go in an offer 10$ per set. you should get luck.

i am starting to build my first permi hut so i guess i am one of the lucky guys who has access to a unlimited supply.
