Just wondering if anyone has ever used cut fallfish as laker Bait like you would a sucker?

We call them river roach. I've tried them but their meat is mushy. Very hard to keep them alive in a cage / box.

They’re ok if you scale/filet immediately and dust em with sawdust before freezing. I save a few from late season fly fishing for early winter lakerbait. Like jiggin said, they get pretty mushy if you try to keep them alive. I think honestly they’re better chum than actual jigbait.
Perhaps I should not have been a fisherman, he thought. But that was the thing that I was born for.
