Very interesting.  Where do you get that diamond plate material?
Nice bends on the ski brackets.  Do you have a brake?  How will you keep
the wheels from icing up?

Please post more pics as progress continues.  Very Nice.

the diamond plate is for clean room Wall's and yes I'm a sheet metal mech and work in a fully equiped shop the wheels I'm hoping if i keep the openings small enough they might not freeze they will only stick thru about 3/8 of an inch I have alum angle for each side of the wheel to put the axle thru

That is gonna be a sweet sled.

Do the wheels have sealed bearings? They will be nice going over those parking lots, not ripping up the bottom. How big and how heavy is it going to be?

If fishing was work I'd never be sick!

well the panel that's standing there is about 32x48 and weighs about 4lbs so I'm guessing the hole box empty should be under 30 lbs the wheels are from a set of casters that we used for steel table so I'm guessing there going to handle the sled fine and that's the exact reason for the wheels d**n parking lot's the box is going to finish 24wide 42 long and about 16 inches deep the whole thing is aluminum so it should be lite

Thats one sweet looking rig , your attention to details really shows.    Any idea what the materials to make it would cost?

diamond plate is expensive but this is the stuff they make clean room walls out of i scored some on a job i was doing its like alum cardboard and as for the weight. i think the shtuff i filled it with weighs more than the box.  a whole sheet of the mat is around 35 to 40 pounds

The burner top looks like it's mounted inside the box... if so that is AWESOME.      Not saying the whole sled isn't,  but that part is kick a--. ;)

You can buy similar aluminum for the sides real cheap.  Go to a recuperation center or a manufacturer of insulated steel doors for houses and buy the panels that have been cut out of steel doors.  Most people want windows installed in their steel doors and often, the panels cut out are about 2 feet wide and about 4 feet long.  Each panel sells for about 8 dollars....maybe less.  The panels are very light.

I know of people who have built fishing shacks out of these panels.  They make great insulated fishing shacks.  I've seen people make small campers that install on their pick-up trucks too.
