You've all got it wrong.  It's Windburned running into the woods to take a massive!  Well, if not, then it must have been Lil' Bunny Fufu ;D

They do look close, but the gate is extremely large around 4ft!

i have had the good fortune to actually see a wolverine in the wild running full tilt....4ft is quite possible and would make the same track....Grump....they are quite active and can roam an area up to 180 square miles...quite the animal

Bigfoot or wolverine would be ok with me!! There is a deer yard near where the tracks are so maybe it was chasing some deer!!

Good thing about prisons- they reduce the potential number of fisherman on the ice!

I would bet on the "bounding" wolverine and since it is close to a road probably scared by an approaching vehicle.

Got almost the exact same tracks on a jobsite here in CO.Only difference being that there was a definite tail drag on about half the tracks. The snow was 17'' deep.Running deer or jumping deer tend to be offline from track to track and these
are patterned fairly straight. We had a bumper crop of red fox this year and at this particular site we have seen bobcat and coyote. The tail drag excluded the bobcat. I'm not sure where you live, but at least to my references there really aren't any
wolverine in the Northeast. My uneducated guess would be a member of the canine
family. That snow in the picture looks to be around a foot or so deep and a fox can't walk through that because it's too deep and has no choice but to jump to get through it.
