Seeing one of the other threads got me to thinking,, what is a piece of equipment that I just would not want to do with out. So I figured lets see what everyones is. Now I don't mean the obvious like a vehicle to get to the lake or fishing line and a hook.

For myself it has to be my Jiffy power auger. The ice up in Alberta usually gets up to 3' - 4' thick depending on what end of the province you are in so if you want to stay mobile that requires a number of holes and doing so with a hand auger,, well lets just say I have been there and done that for way to many years. There is no doubt that a power auger has increased my catch rate massively. So for me it is my Jiffy..

Besides the truly required stuff (pole, bait, auger, license)
It has to be the vex.

Ice fisherpersons need is any tool to get a hole in the ice otherwise were not fishing. Could be a power auger or hand auger or even a stick of dynamite just anything to get a hole in the ice
